The Charlotte InfraGard Chapter is please to invite you to attend our July Meeting to be held at Microsoft from 1-4 pm. There will be a meeting of the 2015 InfraGard Cyber Camp Planning committee at lunch prior to the meeting.

We will have two presentations at the July meeting.

The first presentation will be: The Mysteries of Cyber Big Foot (Understanding how to track and solve your Cyber Big Foot Mystery) – presented by Mike Muscatell, Information Security Manager, Snyders-Lance, Inc.

While there are a number of publications regarding being tracked by Google, Facebook etc. Today's Cyber Big Foot print is in great part made up of a vast network known as the “invisible web”. The way in which this network operates has been called Mysterious . WHAT makes today's Cyber Big Foot mysterious? WHY will it affect me tomorrow? Most importantly, HOW can I TRULY OPT OUT?!?

Mr. Mike Muscatell is a seasoned IT veteran with more than thirty years in the Information Technology field, twenty of those years in the Information Security field. Early on in his career he successfully developed the first IT operations center in ’95 at NationsBank/Bank of America. He developed the Information Security Program & authored the CSIRT for Snyder’s-Lance Inc. where he is the Information Security Manager. He is a certified ethical hacker and a certified penetration tester. He has been honored as one of the top 100 professionals in the Information Security Field by Strathmore's Who's Who for 2014 and also featured in the December 2014 edition of Food Engineering Magazine discussing The Cyber Threat. Mike belongs to a number of security organizations including Infragard and The International Cyber Threat Task Force where he is a member of the Cyber Council.

Presentation: Managing Cyber Risk: Current Threats & Defensive Strategies for Protecting Critical Infrastructure

Abstract: This session will provide an overview of the ICS-CERT (Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team), located within the Department of Homeland Security and tasked to work with critical infrastructure asset owners to protect their industrial control systems. The session will provide program metrics, a look at how cyber threats have changed over the last five years, examples of several recent cyber incidents along with ICS-CERT’s responses, how owners can manage risk and improve their overall cyber security. The session will also cover the ICS-CERT mission, responsibilities, products, and services.
