2. “Counter Intelligence in Our World Today”  – Supervisory Special Agent Greg Klein, FBI

Biographies:

1. Greg Klein has served as the Supervisory Special Agent for the FBI’s Counterintelligence and Counterproliferation Squad in North Carolina for the past four years. Prior to this role, SSA Klein led the FBI’s Insider Threat Investigations Unit at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC for four years, including serving as the FBI Director for the initiation and first year of the National Insider Threat Task Force, which created a National Insider Threat Policy. While at FBIHQ, SSA Klein also served as the unit chief for the Economic Espionage Unit and Global Espionage Unit in the Counterespionage Section of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division. SSA Klein began his career in the FBI’s Denver Field Office, and also worked in the Washington Field Office working counterintelligence matters prior to his FBIHQ assignments. SSA Klein received his B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and currently lives in South Park.

2. Bob Usher has over 20 years of information security experience. He is a former CISSP, MCSE and GSEC and has held consulting roles at large financial institutions in North Carolina. Prior to joining Garrison Technology, he led global distribution for a large manufacturer of cyber range, testing and network intercept equipment. He has held positions at leading security providers, such as Symantec and McAfee, working with regional and global organizations on compliance and security. Passionate about innovation and getting ahead of our adversaries Bob has always supported new innovative technology that can reduce risk, protect private data and make a fundamental difference in our critical cyber defense. He has authored articles and papers, most notably “Improving Software Security During Development” which is posted in the SANS Reading Room. He served on the board of Charlotte Metro ISSA for 3 years and is a member of ISSA and InfraGard.
